Sharon Yvonne Stone, born March 10, 1958 in Meadville (Pennsylvania) was born to Dorothy Lawson, a former employee at a factory and Joseph William Stone, a tool maker and die maker. Three siblings are hers: Michael, Kelly, and Patrick. Stone was regarded as an academically gifted in her early years and entered in second grade at the age of five. Saegertown Senior High School, Saegertown Pennsylvania is where she earned her diploma in 1975. She was also a contestant in the Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, which she won Miss Crawford County. Stone relocated to New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt to pursue a career as models. In just a few months, Stone signed up for the Ford Modeling Agency. While in Europe, she lived for a year living in Milano as well as Paris. However, Stone became disillusioned with modeling and fashion and modeling in Europe which led her to pursue acting in Europe while she was there. She appeared at 20 in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," the film which got mixed praises.
